Watch Your Attire, Mr Politician! Dhoti, Chappal Can Ban Entry To Elite Clubs

Indian politicians are expected to face trouble at elite clubs. The reason: a Madras High Court Judge was barred entry to a club as he was clad in a dhoti.

Wondering if our politicians like Mulayam Singh Yadav and HD Deve Gowda will pay heed to it. The majority of Tamil political parties are against the dress code, and have already begun raising their voice against it.
Divergent views are coming in from clubs and our netas. The elite clubs want appropriately dressed gentlemen and Indian clothes are just not in. Some years back, on the eve of Diwali, Infosys founder N R Narayana Murthy was stopped from entering Bangalore Club as he wore kurta pyjama.
The clubs claim that they want to safeguard their culture, and chappals/ dhoti are strongly against the norm.
You are left wondering if respect can be garnered by the way you dress to these supreme clubs!
