The compound Kbro3 a bromate of potassium takes the form of white crystals and is used to make breads fluffy.

Potassium bromate is banned in Japan, UK, Canada, Brazil, Australia, New Zealand and European Union.
The bread samples which were tested included brands such as Britannia, Harvest Gold and the fast food chains - KFC, Pizza Hut, Domino's, Subway, McDonald's and Slice of Italy.
