The video was shot in June 2018 near the SSP office in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. The Aligarh police resorted to lathi-charge when activists of Hindu Jagran Manch locked the Special Superintendent of Police (SSP) office gate while protesting – The HJM was demanding the arrest of a man who was booked for an attempt to murder in March, 2018. BOOM debunked the same video in March 2019 when it was shared with false claims of atrocities meted out to Muslims by cops while they were praying at a mosque.
