Viral Video Of Sikh Soldiers At The Border? No, This Is A Movie Set

The men in the video are actors and not soldiers. The video was made during the making of the movie ‘Subedar Joginder Singh‘ which was released in April 2018.

A video that purports to show a group of Sikh soldiers in good spirits despite being wounded in battle is actually a behind-the-scenes candid video shot while filming a movie.

The video, posted by the Facebook page 'Punjabi' has been shared with a caption that says, 'Just one word. Support these brothers wholeheartedly'. It has been shared nearly 19,500 times since it was first posted on January 6, 2019.

Sikh soldiers with lacerations to the face are seen waving and smiling to the camera. A watermark of 'gurstar' and 'official_gurstar' can also be seen.

Meanwhile, Kartar Singh Sarabha’s song 'Hind Wasiyo Rakhna Yaad Sanu' can be heard playing in the background

The men in the video are actors and not soldiers. The video was made during the making of the movie 'Subedar Joginder Singh' which was released in April 2018. The film is a biography on Subedar Joginder Singh, who was posthumously awarded India's highest military gallantry award, the Param Vir Chakra.

Below is a tweet from the Indian Army's official Twitter handle.
