In times of the novel coronavirus, COVID-19, most other healthcare services have taken huge hits as all resources got allocated to this deadly virus. BOOM's Debalina Mukherjee visited Kolkata Swasthya Sankalp in this ground report and spoke with founder Dr Faud Halim who has made dialysis available to patients at Rs 50.

He says that on the first day of the lockdown, poor folks who come to him for this treatment had to hire private vehicles, which changed the cost of access for them and made it harder to seek 2 or 3 dialysis sessions a week. It prompted him to slash prices from Rs 350 to just Rs 50.
