Security cameras at an Indian jewelry store captured the moment a monkey stole a fistful of cash from a drawer and fled with about Rs 10,000. The video, filmed May 23 by security cameras at the store in Guntur district, Andhra Pradesh shows the monkey throw a guava into the store and then dart inside the door when a man opens it to give the fruit back.

The store owner said the monkey was inside the store for about 20 minutes, jumping from one surface to another, before he opened the cash drawer and made off with about Rs 10.000. The shopkeeper tried chasing the monkey but was unable to catch it.

The CCTV visuals of the trained monkey thief are doing the rounds on the internet. In the video, the monkey can be seen opening one of the drawers and scooting away with cash picked up from the drawer.
