Despite its obvious popularity, various religious groups have protested the film's criticism of organized religion and God men.
The Hindu Legal Cell has lodged an FIR against PK, saying that it hurts religious sentiments. VHP and Bajrang Dal activists have protested the screening of PK in Bhubaneshwar, Agra and Ahmedabad and have vandalized cinema halls. They have demanded a ban on the film for its alleged anti-Hindu content. Muslim clerics are also seeking the removal of some scenes.
Yet, trade analysts predict that its collections will touch Rs. 300 crores. So, does the movie really offend anyone? We took to the streets of Mumbai to find out.
