Is India Inc. Interfering In Parliamentary Affairs?

India's leading industrialists signed an online petition demanding that both houses be allowed to "function, debate and legislate" on proposals like the Goods and Services Tax (GST).

 

Is India Inc trying to interfere with the Parliament's functioning? Does this classify as a sort of backchannel lobbying that these industrialists are doing on behalf of the NDA government?
