Currently, high-speed trains in China run at speeds ranging from 250 to 300 km/hr. Super high-speed train test was carried out in Zhengzhou City of central China's Henan Province.

An expert said the airflow created by the high speed would have a great impact on the trains. Experts cautioned against commercially using trains exceeding speed of 400 km/hr as higher speeds incur much higher operation costs.
