Maharashtra Announces Extension of Lockdown, Other States May FOllow

Maharashtra is the new state in addition to Odisha and Punjab to have announced an extension to their lockdowns. The lockdowns have now been extended to April 30. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray announced through a video message. 

PM Narendra Modi on a video call with all the State Chief Ministers expressed interest in extending the lockdown till April 30 to control the increasing number of cases. The Chief Ministers of Karnataka, Delhi, and West Bengal supported the PM's suggestion of extending the lockdown further.
