India's Case Count Nears 50,000

The total number of cases in India reached 49,391 cases with 1,694 deaths. Since the last update, India has added 2,680 new cases while 105 victims died. Maharashtra continues to be the worst-hit state with 15525 confirmed cases and 617 deaths.
