Delhi Prohibits Testing Dead Bodies For COVID-19
In revised guidelines issued on Sunday, the Delhi government has prohibited hospitals from collecting samples for COVID-19 testing, reports Hindustan Times. According to the guidelines, a death will be treated as a COVID-19 fatality if "tested positive for the disease before death, a person whose sample had been collected before death and tested positive after, or for any person who died after being admitted to a hospital on suspicion of having the viral infection." The move is aimed at conserving testing kits.
