14 Million Latin Americans At Risk Of Starvation Due To COVID-19: UN

The United Nations World Food Program has warned of "hunger pandemic" in South America due to the COVID-19 pandemic, reports AP. Miguel Barreto, the WFP’s regional director for Latin America and the Caribbean said that while 3.4 million people in Latin America experienced food scarcity in 2019, that number could rise to 14 million due to the pandemic.
