Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott has been filmed chugging a glass of beer, known in Australia as a schooner, in just seven seconds.
Abbott was at a bar in Sydney with players from an Australian football team.
Social media was abuzz with some cheering the prime minister while other calling the feat a stunt to gain popularity.
Despite the accomplishment, Abbott is still overshadowed by another Australian prime minister Bob Hawke's drinking achievement. Bob Hawke drank two-and-a-half glasses of beer in just over 11 seconds, and claimed a world record in the process.
