Several photos have gone viral on social media falsely claiming to be from the recent floods that have hit Assam.
Under the hashtag #AssamFloods, we found that Twitter users were falling for these images sharing them as recent.
The floods in Assam have affected around 26 lakh people and has reportedly led to the death of eleven people.

Image 1:
We performed a reverse image search using the Russian search engine Yandex and found that the image was old.
The search results showed results with the title '2008 Bihar floods'. An Amar Ujala article dating back to 2016, titled 'Preparation Of Bihar Government Regarding Flood In State' came up as one of the results.
Image 2:
A Google reverse image search showed that the image was taken by Kulendu Kalita for AFP during the floods that had hit Assam in July 2016.
The description of the image reads, "Indian children sit on the roof of a home submerged in flood waters in Batahidia on the Brahmaputra River in South Kamrup, southwest of Guwahati, on July 27, 2016."

The image of the carcass of a tiger floating in flood waters is from
Kaziranga National Park in Assam, dating back to August 2017.
BOOM had fact-checked the same image when it had gone viral in September 2018 as animals killed in Kaziranga National Park during the floods that had hit Assam.
