Zubeen Garg was a singer, composer, actor, and cultural icon from Assam. He passed away in Singapore on 19 September 2025 at the age of 52. He was rushed to Singapore General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead and the hospital conducted an initial autopsy listing drowning as the cause of death. Following his death, the Assam government has ordered an investigation and a second autopsy was later conducted amid concerns from fans who suspected foul play.
