Marcus Stoinis' unbeaten 59-run knock helped Australia complete the run chase to secure their first victory of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 against Sri Lanka by seven wickets.

Pathum Nissanka scored 40 and Charith Asalanka remained unbeaten at 38 to help the Lankans finish the 20 overs at 157/6.

In the second inning, Australia lost the wicket of David Warner, Mitchell Marsh, and Glenn Maxwell. Captain Aaron Finch remained unbeaten alongside Marcus Stoinis.

Stoinis completed his 50 and finished the run-chase, remaining unbeaten at 59 to confirm Australia's victory against Sri Lanka by seven wickets.
