In a layout update, a new tab 'Subscription Tweets' has been added to profiles, where the tweets meant for subscribed users are visible. If not subscribed, it asks the user to "unlock" the subscription tweets. The tab also shows the number of available tweets in the section.
The Twitter home screen will also have a 'Subscribed' section, apart from the 'For You' and 'Following' tabs.
In another update regarding the Twitter verification badge, the blue tick description now reads, "This account is verified". Previously, the description said, "The account is verified because it's subscribed to Twitter Blue and verified their phone number."
The description update comes after the legacy blue ticks have been completely removed by Twitter in April.
Several new subscription features are also underway as pointed out by some Twitter Beta users.
Twitter is working on teasers for "subscription tweets" to give context to the hidden content. This will display a part of the subscription-only content.
An 'inline media' feature is also being tested which will allow users to insert images anywhere in the tweet, and not just in the end.
Apologizing for Twitter's "bad" video upload process, Elon Musk shared that Twitter is working on major improvements. "I recommend 480p for video longer than 10 mins, as that resolution is fine for phone/laptop users," he added.
Musk also shared that the screen time users spend on a post decides how much it is boosted. "Video posted natively to this platform will be boosted more than an external link, because way more time is spent watching a video than clicking on a link," he said.
Replying to a tweet that suggested introducing separate video feed for Twitter, Musk said, "Coming soon".
