The former Congress Leader and Rajya Sabha MP has been given the rank of a Cabinet Minster in PM Council of Ministers. Scindia served as Minister of State (Independent charge) for Power in the UPA-2 government.
Anurag Thakur
Thakur, who had been serving as Minister of State for Finance and Minister of State for Corporate Affairs, has been promoted to a Cabinet Minister in the Modi government.
Sarbananda Sonowal
The former Assam Chief Minister has been inducted in PM Modi's Cabinet. Sonowal had earlier served as Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports in the first Modi government until 2016.
Narayan Rane
The former Maharashtra CM and incumbent Rajya Sabha MP has been inducted in the Modi Cabinet in first tenure as a Union Minister.
Kiren Rijiju
The Lok Sabha MP from Arunachal West has been promoted to a Cabinet Minister in the reshuffling. Rijiju had been serving as Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Youth Affairs and Sports in the second Modi government.
Hardeep Singh Puri
The Rajya Sabha MP has also been promoted to a Cabinet Minster. Puri was serving as the Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Civil Aviation in the second Modi government.
Meenakshi Lekhi
Lekhi, who has been serving as the Chairperson of Public Undertakings Committee, has been inducted into the Union Council of Minsters as a Minister of State.
Shobha Karandlaje
Two-time Lok Sabha MP and former Karnataka State Cabinet Minister has been inducted as a Minister of State.
Satyapal Singh
Singh, who served as a former Minister of State in the first Modi government, has been brought back in the same capacity following the reshuffling.
Rajeev Chandrasekhar
Chandrasekhar, a BJP Rajya Sabha MP from Karnataka, has been inducted into the Modi government as a Minister of State.
Ravi Shankar Prasad and Prakash Javadekar
Prasad (L) and Javadekar (R) have been the two high-profile casualties of the reshuffling. Prasad held the Law and Justice, Electronics and Information Technology, and Communications portfolios while Javadekar held Information and Broadcasting, and Environment, Forest and Climate Change portfolios.
Harsh Vardhan
Dr Harsh Vardhan has been dropped as the Minister of Health and Family Welfare in the reshuffling.
