Several Injured After Massive Vehicle Pile-Up On Pune-Bengaluru Highway

A massive vehicle pile-up was reported from the Pune-Bengaluru highway on Sunday evening. The Times Of India and Indian Express reported that at least 20 people were injured in the accident.

According to officials, the accident took place after a tanker crashed into several vehicles on the highway, resulting in a pile-up.

The Times Of India quoted DCP Sohail Sharma saying that no life-threatening injuries were reported, though 6 of them had to stay in hospital for treatment. He said the truck that caused the crash would be examined by experts to ascertain the cause of the accident.

Two-km-long traffic jam was reported on the highway after the massive vehicle pile up.
