LinkedIn Launches New Verification Tools to Boost Trust and Safety
LinkedIn has rolled out three new verification tools to strengthen trust and safety on its platform: Premium Company Page Verification, recruiter workplace verification, and executive job title verification.
The company noted that 85% of business buyers consider trust critical, and verified company pages help signal credibility to buyers, prospects, and job seekers.
Recruiters with related titles must now verify their workplace, protecting job seekers from scams and fostering trust from the first interaction.
Similarly, executive job title verification prevents impersonation, allowing senior leaders to represent their companies authentically without the risk of impersonation.
LinkedIn began rolling out verifications for jobs, identities, and recruiters in 2023 and says it has already blocked 99% of fake accounts. Between July and December 2024 alone, the platform prevented 80.6 million fake accounts from registering.
“Whether you’re a professional, a global enterprise, or a growing startup, verification matters,” said Oscar Rodriguez, Vice President of Trust at LinkedIn. “These new features and changes will further improve authenticity and trust across LinkedIn.”
