Women of the Chandigarh Pradesh Mahila Congress gathered at Maloya Part 2, Chandigarh, with gas stoves and pipes.
They staged cooking from the gas - usually Methane - coming out from the drainages across the roads.
Methane is flammable gas made of Carbon and Hydrogen, The chemical formula Methane is CH4. and is used as a fuel worldwide. It is a principal component of natural gas.
Hundreds of women sat on the road and put the pipe into the drainage line with one end connected with stove.
Mahila Congress has been protesting the fuel price hike in different parts of the country. On March 8, 2021, the Congress' women wing from Bhopal staged protest against the same.
