At ITO where the clashes were fierce, police also used tear gas on farmers.
One Death Reported
Navneet Singh from Bajpur, Uttarakhand was killed after the tractor he was traveling on met with an accident near Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg.
Protestors Attack Police Personnel
Protestors attacked police and vandalised a DTC bus forcing police personnel to retreat.
Red Fort Breached
By afternoon, a section of farmers breached the Red Fort complex.
Leaders Blame "Anti-social" Elements For Violence
Bharat Kisan Union leader Rakesh Tikait alleged that the chaos was orchestrated by people belonging to political parties. Tikait also said that a majority of the protests were peaceful.
Rally Held Peacefully Elsewhere
Despite the violence elsewhere, the tractor rally was held peacefully with farmers being welcomed in parts of the city.
